Admissions Checklists

Thank you for your interest in Immaculate Conception School!  The unique talents and gifts each child brings to ICS are what makes us such a special community!  We’re excited at the prospect of having your child join the ICS family and wish to make the admissions process as smooth as possible.  Applications for the 2021-2022 school year will open on October 1st. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the ICS Admissions Office by emailing admissions@theimmaculate.org.

Use the checklists below to help guide you through the admissions process. 

Pre-K and Kindergarten Admissions

The Preschool Program at ICS is rated as a Level 5 Star Maryland Excels Program by the Maryland State Department of Education. As an Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic school, we are very proud to be recognized by the MSDE with a Level 5 Star Rating distinction three consecutive years.

Please note that all Pre-K students must be potty trained prior to the first day of school.

Preschool and kindergarten applications can be processed on a fully remote basis via the following steps:

Complete and submit the ICS online application.

Submit a copy of the following through the School Admin Parent Portal, which will be established within the application process:
Birth certificate
Baptismal certificate
Any individualized education plans such as an IEP or 504 etc. (if applicable)

Additional Requirements for Kindergarten applicants only:
Teacher Recommendation Form
This form can be completed by a preschool teacher electronically, saved, and emailed to admissions@theimmaculate.org

Kindergarten readiness screening for all applicants will be scheduled in January 2021.
All kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1, per Maryland State law.

Grades 1 through 8 Admissions

ICS, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, can provide your child with the foundation they need to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in school and in life.  Elementary and middle school applications can be processed on a fully remote basis via the following steps:

Additional Requirements for Applicants to Grades 3 through 8:
Due to the inability to host students and families on campus for tours or Open House events this Fall, we are including the following in our application process for 2020-2021:
Attendance at a 1st Look Virtual Visit (schedule at this link: Registration for 1st Look Virtual Visit
Completion of a parent/child admissions interview (will be scheduled by the Admissions Team after application and all supporting materials have been submitted)

Admissions and placement testing for students entering grades 1 through 8 will be held in January 2021. 

Students currently in grades 3 through 7 are typically invited to schedule a shadow day with the Admissions Office and be an “Eagle for the Day.” Though we cannot offer a traditional shadow day experience at this time, we will be posting a Virtual Shadow Day experience in the coming weeks.
