Admissions Checklists
Thank you for your interest in Immaculate Conception School! The unique talents and gifts each child brings to ICS are what makes us such a special community! We’re excited at the prospect of having your child join the ICS family and wish to make the admissions process as smooth as possible.
Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be accepted from August 15, 2023 through December 1, 2023.
Admissions decisions will be issued on January 12, 2024.

Pre-K Admissions Checklist
The Preschool Program at ICS is rated as a Level 5 Star Maryland Excels Program by the Maryland State Department of Education. As an Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic school, we are very proud to be recognized by the MSDE with a Level 5 Star Rating distinction for five consecutive years.
All Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students must be fully potty-trained and independent prior to the first day of school, including during rest time for full-day students.
Applicants to Pre-K4 must be four-years-old no later than August 31st of the school year in which they would enter the program.
Please complete the following steps to apply to the ICS preschool:
- Submit the ICS online application.
- Submit a copy of the following through the SchoolAdmin Parent Portal which will be established within the application process:
–Birth certificate
–Baptismal certificate (required for Catholic students but optional for students of other faiths)
–Any individualized education plans such as an IEP or 504 or results of any psychological or educational testing (if applicable) - Consider attending an Open House event or scheduling a building tour! See more details and Register for Admissions Events today!
Kindergarten Admissions Checklist
Please complete the following steps to apply to kindergarten at ICS:
- Submit the ICS online application.
- Submit a copy of the following through the School Admin Parent Portal which will be established within the application process:
–Birth certificate
–Baptismal certificate (required for Catholic students but optional for students of other faiths)
–Any individualized education plans such as an IEP or 504 or results of any psychological or educational testing (if applicable) - Send a Teacher Recommendation Form through the admissions portal to your child’s current teacher. If your child is not currently in school, this step is not required. We ask that you not send prior to November 1st to allow the teacher and your child to get acquainted.
- Schedule Brigance Readiness Screening through the admissions portal.
- Consider attending an Open House event or scheduling a building tour. See more details and Register for Admissions Events today!
All kindergarten students must be five years old by September 1, per Maryland State law.

Grades 1 through 5 Admissions Checklist
ICS, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, can provide your child with the foundation they need to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in school and in life.
Please complete the following steps to apply to the ICS Elementary School. If you need an official records request form to access documents from your child’s current school, you may download that form HERE.
- Submit the ICS online application.
- Submit a copy of the following through the School Admin Parent Portal which will be established within the application process:
–Most recent report card from current grade
–Year-end full-year report card from prior grade (not required for applicants to 1st grade)
–Most recent standardized test scores (if applicable)
–Birth certificate
–Baptismal certificate (required for Catholic students but optional for students of other faiths)
–Any individualized education plans such as an IEP or 504 or results of any psychological or educational testing (if applicable) - Send a Teacher Recommendation Form through the admissions portal to your child’s current teacher. We ask that you not send prior to November 1st to allow the teacher and your child time to get acquainted in the new school year.
- Schedule Readiness and Admissions Testing within the portal.
Additional Requirement for Applicants to Grades 4 and 5: - Within the portal, applicants will schedule an ICS Eagle for the Day shadow day to spend the day here on our campus, attending classes and enjoying social interactions with ICS students and teachers. Students will also complete their admissions testing on this date.

Middle School Admissions Checklist

–Most recent report card from current grade
–Year-end full-year report card from prior grade
–Most recent standardized test scores (if applicable)
–Birth certificate
–Baptismal certificate (required for Catholic students but optional for students of other faiths)
–Any individualized education plans such as an IEP or 504 or results of any psychological or educational testing (if applicable) - Send Teacher Recommendation Forms (English/Language Arts and Mathematics) through the admissions portal to your child’s teachers. We ask that you not send this before November 1st to allow the teacher and your child time to get acquainted in the new school year.
- Schedule an ICS Eagle for the Day shadow day to spend here on our campus, attending classes and enjoying social interactions with ICS middle school students and teachers. Students will also complete their admissions testing on this date.
