Weekly Bible Study
Our weekly Bible study sessions are held every Wednesday at 7
Discipleship’s Worship Nights are held regularly on the second Saturday of every month and include a guest speaker, adoration, praise and worship music, and the opportunity for confession, followed by food and fellowship.
We’ll be doing something a little bit different in October though. On Saturday, October 12th, we’ll be spending a day in prayer and reflection as we hike through the beautiful fall woods of Maryland. More details coming soon!
We invite you to join us and other young people in serving our parish and becoming more involved in the Mass by offering Holy Communion, reading the Word of God, or being the face of Christ to others through Immaculate’s Encounter Ministry!
Eucharistic Minister/Lector: If you are interested in being trained, please contact Fr. Joe
Encounter Ministry: The Encounter Ministry includes the tasks of greeting, handing out song sheets, seating people, doing the collection, handing out bulletins, etc. The goal is to use these “tasks” as opportunities to BE CHRIST to the congregation! You are not required to sign up in advance to participate but can volunteer whenever you are able.
- Sunday, October 20th– Praise Mass– Join Discipleship for Mass at 5:30 PM in the main church! We typically sit towards the front to the right. If you have been trained at Immaculate Conception as a Eucharistic Minister or lector, we encourage you to sign-up for this Mass in advance or ask if any help is needed when you arrive. Also, if you’ve been trained as an Encounter Minister, please check in when you arrive to see if you can assist in any way. Please RSVP on our Facebook page, so we know to look for you!

Are you ready for Adoration Olympics?!?
One of the most glorious things we can experience is encountering Christ by way of the Blessed Sacrament in Eucharistic Adoration. Discipleship has committed to participating in the Sunday 2-3 PM holy hour at Immaculate’s
Essentially, you will be put on one of 4 teams, and each week a different team will be responsible for sending one (or more!) of its members to visit with Jesus. It being your team’s week is NOT an obligation that you personally have to attend, just someone from your team! However, the team that sends the most members that month, will receive a prize at the first Bible Study of the following month.
Teams will be created by Emily Wertlieb and likely be shuffled approximately every 6 months. Of course, you are also free to attend even if it is not your team’s week (because Jesus is for everyone all the time). Your attendance just won’t count for any team’s score but your own.
