Liturgical Ministries

As we come together to worship the Lord as a community of faith, there are many opportunities to serve and participate in the liturgical life of the parish.
Altar Servers
Students in the fourth grade and older who attend a Catholic school or are enrolled in the Religious Education program may serve.
Altar Society
This committee launders altar linens and albs for the clergy and the altar servers.
Encounter Ministry
The purpose of Encounter Ministry is to ensure each person who comes through our doors has an authentic encounter with Christ in the face of our parishioners as well as at the Eucharistic table. Encounter Ministry combines and expands the tasks commonly associated with the greeters and ushers. This ministry is more than holding doors, handing out song sheets and taking up the collection. The goal of this ministry is to embody Christ in our actions and to create an atmosphere of joyful welcome.
We currently offer Encounter at the 5:30 pm Sunday Praise Mass, with a long range goal of rolling out the ministry to all of our Masses. We welcome outgoing, joyful people with a love for Christ to join our growing ministry. Interested? Please contact, Lauren Mckeegan, lmckeegan@theimmaculate.org or Patty McCarty, pmccarty@theimmaculate.org for more details.

The committee also supports and serves refreshments at various ad hoc parish events throughout the year.
