Immaculate Conception School’s Pre-K program strives to foster spiritual, physical and social-emotional development in our little ones. We believe that each child is a unique individual and special child of God. Our curriculum gives the structure and guidance needed to grow in a fun, safe and nurturing environment. The program is staffed by a certified teacher and an assistant in each classroom.
The Pre-K program is designed to aid those children who are not developmentally ready, or age-eligible, for kindergarten. The goal for this five-day program is to build upon the skills set forth in our younger programs and to further prepare our children for a full-day kindergarten program. We offer full-day or AM-only options for this program.
Students continue to work on the identification and formation of letters and numbers and are introduced to sign language. Students in this program benefit from singing and creative movement, in-house visitors, a field trip and daily music and movement activities. There is also a focus on Bible stories and daily prayers. Activities, directed and self-directed, are made available in the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical activity, art and music.
The STREAM program is cross-curricular and is incorporated into our daily program.
