Dear Parents,

We are excited to write to you on the eve of the “kick-off” of an important fundraising event at Immaculate Conception School. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to directly benefit your child’s educational experience at our school.

On Friday, May 15, 2009, Immaculate Conception School will be conducting its second annual “Race for Education.” This year, monies raised at this event will be used to reduce operating expenses to maintain affordable tuition.  Last year our first annual event was a huge success.  Not only did we raise enough money to renovate two science labs, but our campus became alive with school spirit!

Come out for recess and train for the "Race" , May 15th

Kinders: 12:45 - 1:15
1-2nd 11:50 - 12:10
3-4th 12:40 -12;55
6-7 11:30 - 11:50

Students in kindergarten thru grade eight will walk or jog around a 1/4 mile area as many times as possible in a one class period (students in the Brown House will walk or jog for one-half hour). Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax deductible donation to Immaculate Conception School.

On February 23, 2009, your child will be coming home with a “Kick-off Packet” of information about our “Race for Education.” Please review the packet carefully. Your participation is essential to the success of this program.

Our school’s goal is to raise $25,000. Last year we beat our goal by two and half times and we hope to be as successful again this year.  You can enable us to reach this goal by spending a minimal amount of time filling out a label sheet with the names and addresses of potential sponsors. The label sheet and instructions will be included with the “Kick-off Packet” that your child brings home next week.

Immaculate Conception School will reach its goal of $25,000, if we receive an average of fifteen (15) label names per student. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.

Sincerely,
