Academics

The Immaculate Conception School is accredited by the SACS CASI (Southern Association of College & School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement). Our students consistently perform above the national and Archdiocesan average in all subjects on the Stanford 10, a test administered to students in grades 3 through 8 annually. Last spring, 100% of our graduates who applied, were accepted into Catholic and private high schools.  Each year many of our graduates are awarded academic scholarships, including the prestigious Knott scholarship.

New Report Card Conference Procedure

All parents/guardians in grades 3-8 will not be required to attend a conference on Friday, December 2.  This policy has been implemented because parents/guardians in grades 3-8 have instant access to student grades via Power School.  This policy, however, has two exceptions:

·         Teachers may require a conference if they believe a student needs support or is not working to his or her potential.  In this case, a parent/guardian must attend a requested conference to obtain the progress report.  Teachers will contact families as needed.

·         Parents/guardians may request a conference if they have concerns about a student’s progress.  Contact the teacher directly to arrange this conference.

All student progress reports grades 3-8 will be sent home on Monday, December 5, 2011.

All parents/guardians of students in grades K-2 must still attend a required progress report conference on December 2.  Please contact the teacher directly regarding scheduled times available if not already scheduled.

Please remember that all teachers are available to any parent at any time who wishes to discuss a student’s progress or concerns.
