Looking to grow in your faith while socializing with other young adults? Discipleship strives to bring together all local Catholics, ages 21 to 35, to share in faith, service, and fun! We host weekly Bible studies and monthly worship, service, and social events.
Weekly Bible Study
Our weekly Bible study meets every Wednesday at 7:30 PM in the Nelligan room, located in the Parish Office Building. Our current topic is: “Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John,” by Edward Sri. We hope that you will take a break from a busy work week and join us for a time of discussion, prayer, and spiritual growth. If you’d like more information about our Bible study sessions, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Discipleship’s Worship Nights are held regularly, on the second Saturday of every month. Our Worship Nights consist of a guest speaker, adoration with worship music, benediction, and opportunities for confession, all of which take place in the main church. Afterwards, we walk over to a local restaurant in Towson for refreshment and socialization. Our next Worship Night will be held on Saturday, May 13th, at 7 PM. Please check out the parish calendar or join The Immaculate Conception Discipleship Group on Facebook to stay updated on our Worship Nights. For more information, please e-mail email@example.com.
Do you feel called to serve during Mass? We’d love for more young adults to partake in the Mass by offering Holy Communion, or serving as a lector, usher, or greeter. You can request to serve every 3rd Sunday of the month during the 5:30 PM Praise Mass with other young adults, or can choose to be randomly assigned to various masses. If interested, please contact Fr. Francis at Francis.Ouma@archbalt.org to set up a time to be trained (it takes about 20 minutes).
Our next Praise Mass will be held on Sunday, May 21st, at 5:30 PM in the main church. If you have been trained as a Eucharistic Minister, lector, usher or greeter, please sign-up for this Mass! Even if you will not be serving in one of these capacities, we encourage you to attend Mass with the rest of the Discipleship group.
