On Saturday, November 28, 1998, the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Towson began Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Parishioners from many parishes committed themselves to pray for one hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament. Perpetual Adoration at Immaculate Conception is meant for all parishes in the area. All are invited to be part of this important and much needed prayer program.

What is Adoration?

Adoration is a devotion in which the Eucharist remains exposed on the altar held in what is called a "monstrance" from the Latin "monstrare", meaning "to show". Perpetual Adoration continues without interruption 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in which parishioners commit to a specific day and time (one hour) every week.

When you look upon the Sacred Host, you look upon Jesus, the Son of God. "Indeed, this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks upon the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life. Him I will raise up on the last day." (John 6:40)

Why Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament?

1. To bring honor and glory to Our Lord through praise and worship.
2. To profess your faith and gratitude for His True Presence in the Eucharist.
3. To deepen your prayer life and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
4. To spend time listening to Our Lord to discover His will for your life.
5. To be healed physically, spiritually and emotionally.
6. To deepen His peace within you

All are welcome from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m daily. For security reasons, only scheduled adorers will have access to the chapel from 10:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.

Please consider being an adorer. This is a great time to make a commitment to an hour a week before the Blessed Sacrament. Miraculous Medal Novena

Please join us Monday evenings at 7pm, in our Adoration Chapel. Our weekly service is one segment of the Novena in honor of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal and includes Eucharistic Adoration known as Benediction. This short service is an easy way to show by example that prayer is not just for Sundays.
