Dear Confirmation and School of Religion Families,
It is with great joy and bittersweet emotion that I have accepted a great opportunity with the parish’s support and will be parting my position as Coordinator of Religious Education at Immaculate Conception Parish at the end of June. I have been greatly moved by the Holy Spirit as He is sending me on a new and wonderful path in my ministry of teaching the Catholic faith.
I am grateful for the support and friendship you have shared with me. For many of you who I have known over the past five years I will never forget the relationships that have been created with your younger and older children as both a spiritual leader and catechist in past sacramental programs.
The Confirmation program will be handled by Lauren McKeegan, our Youth Minister, (see welcome video from Lauren below). She has a wonderful zeal for our youth of the parish with a great amount to give to our Confirmation program as it continues to flourish through the Holy Spirit. Lauren and I will be transitioning together so do not be surprised this month that we both continue to reach out to you. Also, High School Confirmation Registration has been EXTENDED to July 1.
As for the School of Religion Program, we have begun our search for my replacement. (See position description below and forward to those that might be interested and qualified). Stay tuned to the bulletin and your email when registration opens this summer. There are exciting things happening for the program and I ask for your prayers for Fr. Barr and the parish team for the incoming coordinator as the search process has begun and the program continues to flourish under the new leadership.
May the Peace of Christ be with you always!
